New Star Lighting needed to evolve their brand identity to better reflect their position as both an established industry leader and forward-thinking innovator. Their existing brand didn’t effectively communicate how three decades of proven expertise could seamlessly integrate with cutting-edge lighting technology and solutions.

Brand Vision
Recognizing this positioning challenge, Substance developed a unified brand identity that bridges heritage with innovation. We created a simplified star symbol combined with a directional compass pointer, positioning New Star as simultaneously moving forward while honoring their deep industry experience. The tagline “Driven by innovation. Guided by experience” encapsulates this dual nature.
The rebrand establishes New Star Lighting as where timeless craftsmanship meets cutting-edge innovation. Combined with a robust content management system for seamless product updates and back-end integration, the new brand platform positions New Star to lead their industry forward while leveraging the trust and expertise they’ve built over decades.
